Course Description

The days of shame, silence, and secrecy around our female bodies are over.

“Period” isn’t a dirty word—and a period isn’t a dirty thing. But many of us were raised to believe otherwise. Whether it was subtle messaging or overt discomfort, most women carry lingering traces of shame, embarrassment, or even disgust about their cycles.

And if we don’t intentionally rewrite that narrative, our daughters will inherit the same confusion and disconnect.

So what do you do when you weren’t taught how to honor your cycle—but you’re now guiding a daughter into womanhood?

You join us for The Dance into Womanhood—a sacred, empowering four-part class series for mothers and their coming-of-age daughters.

Led by Fertility Awareness Educator Bailey Jo, this series offers your daughter the body literacy, wisdom, and self-love you wish you'd had at her age. She will learn to see her cycle not as a burden, but as a source of strength, creativity, and rhythm.

Together, we’ll explore the menstrual cycle not just biologically, but archetypally, emotionally, and energetically. Through art, dance, ritual, and conversation, girls will begin to see their cycle as a powerful inner compass, not something to dread or hide.

Give your daughter the gift of transformation

  • From shame to reverence. Your daughter will develop a healthy, empowered relationship with her body and its natural rhythms.

  • From confusion to clarity. She’ll understand the four phases of her cycle and the hormonal, emotional, and energetic shifts that come with each one.

  • From isolation to sisterhood. She’ll feel seen, supported, and connected to a community of girls walking the same path.

  • From dread to celebration. This experience marks menarche (first menstruation) as a beautiful, joyful initiation—not something to fear or avoid.

While the series is primarily for girls approaching their first period or in their first year of menstruating, any teen girl will benefit. Whether she started years ago or hasn't begun yet, this experience offers wisdom, support, and empowerment she’s unlikely to find anywhere else.

And moms—you’re not just chauffeurs.
You’re vital to this process. You'll be part of the opening and closing ceremonies, receive your own cycle education (including the truth about perimenopause and menopause) with Fertility Awareness Educator Lucia Contreras, and experience a beautiful movement practice that connects you to your own feminine wisdom.

Together, you'll break generational cycles of silence—and build new traditions rooted in reverence, connection, and love.

Plus, each girl will build her own personalized self-care kit including:

  • Aromatherapy massage rollers to support different cycle phases

  • A handmade buckwheat womb pillow for comfort during menstruation

  • Epsom salt blends for restorative baths

  • Organic cloth pads for a sustainable, gentle first period experience

All this for just $100:

  • Class Series & Facilitation: $60

  • Custom Self-Care Kit & Bracelet: $11

  • Interactive Workbook: $29

Thanks to Studio M’s generous donation of space, we’re able to offer this rich, transformational experience at a fraction of its true value. We may offer this series again—but never at this price.

Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gift your daughter the wisdom, confidence, and connection she deserves.

Gather with us on May 3&4, 2025 at 2pm for this transformational experience.

Meet Your Facilitators

Bailey Jo

Hello there! I’m Bailey, a fertility awareness educator and women’s rite of passage facilitator serving women who are ready to initiate into a full-body, sacred, and powerful womanhood. I’m passionate about sharing holistic health practices with the women I serve and my community. My own struggle with menstrual pain and irregularity initiated me into the blood mysteries and healing arts. I have a background in counseling psychology, which I merge with my teaching and coaching style to provide a catalyzing container for growth. I’m also a dancer, and teach Twinkle Star Dance here at Studio M.

I incorporate a wide variety of frameworks on holistic health into my practice, but some of my favorites are German New Medicine, plant-based nourishment, and circadian rhythm entrainment.

I am in the maiden phase of my life, patiently—and sometimes rather impatiently—awaiting motherhood. I was born and raised in beautiful California, and live here still. Most of my work is virtual, but I am available for in-person workshops and ceremonies in the Los Angeles/Orange County area.

Lucia Alvarez-Malo

Hi my name is Lucia, I am a Certified Fertility Awareness Educator with a Master’s in Public Health, specializing in Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences. My work focuses on body literacy and menstrual cycle education, helping women and girls develop a deeper, more intuitive connection with their bodies.

Through movement, storytelling, and mindfulness, I create spaces where we can explore the rhythms of our cycles with curiosity and self-trust. I love working with women of all ages—whether they are just beginning their journey with menstruation or seeking a deeper connection to their body's natural wisdom. My goal is to nurture a sense of trust in the body, honoring each phase as a meaningful and beautiful part of life.

I believe that when we understand our cycles, we also understand ourselves—our emotions, our needs, and our power. I’m excited to co-facilitate this experience and hold space for mothers and daughters to connect, learn, and move together.
